Cartoon ridiculing the work of MacMullen compared to Fleming's ideas. In fact, it was MacMullen's suggestions that were retained in the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway

In this cartoon, Fleming is being asked about the route the transatlantic railway should follow. His answer does not please the teacher. Student MacMullen's answer is the correction one. A lesson in civil engineering!
