Pacific Cable Station, Bamfield Vancouver Island. The subjoined signals were transmitted from Fanning Island by automatic Curb sender, through the world longest cable (3,458 nautical miles) and received here on the Kelvin Siphon Recorder at a speed of 100letters per minutes.
